I try to remotely reboot, shut down, or kill Chrome, and nothing happens. There are times when the WMI Service within Microsoft Windows becomes corrupt, or the permissions are incorrect. But any ideas you want to share amongst a young brutha. Now select the option: (WMI-In) rule with the local profile value. Choose the predefined option and select Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) from the drop-down list and click next. Right-click in the working area & choose New Rule. Ive noticed weve been having problems remoting into computers. Go into Windows Firewall with Advanced security > inbound rules mode. LsAgent is running on the target computer, but remote commands and deployments don't. Ive come across a problem where multiple computers are reporting WMI access denied and the RPC server is unavailable on Lansweeper. Getting an RPC Unavailable: Asset is Offline or Firewalled error when the target station's firewall has been turned off entirely and is confirmed online. Getting "Wrong Credentials" errors, though I have entered and mapped credentials for the station's user, the station's admin, and the network credentials the target station uses.
The feature set appears to meet all our needs and I'm working with a trial copy to test drive and proof-of-concept, but I'm running into errors and I'm having limited luck with Google and online documentation. My company has me testing out Lansweeper as a means of tracking, controlling, and pushing updates/changes to a lab full of computers. You can connect from the server to one of the clients to check if the WMI settings and access permissions are ok.
